CBT Therapy & Counselling in Birmingham

Anxiety · Life Transitions · Weight Loss Medications Support

You don't have to navigate this alone. I'm Katie — a dual-accredited CBT therapist and counsellor with 15 years of NHS and private experience. Based in King's Heath, Birmingham, I offer flexible sessions: face to face, walk-and-talk in Kings Heath Park, or online from anywhere in the UK.

How I Can Help You

Anxiety & Stress

Whether it's generalised anxiety, social anxiety, health anxiety, or stress that's crept into every corner of your life — CBT gives you practical, evidence-based tools to break the cycle. Sessions in Birmingham or online.

Life Transitions

Redundancy, relationship breakdown, burnout, bereavement, becoming a parent, losing your sense of self — life changes can knock us sideways. Counselling gives you a space to make sense of what's happening and find your footing again.

GLP-1 Medication Support

Wegovy, Mounjaro and Ozempic change your body quickly. But the psychological shifts — changes to your identity, your relationship with food, your relationships with others — take longer to process. I offer specialist CBT support designed specifically for people on weight loss medication.

Low Self-Esteem & Burnout

Years of overachieving, people-pleasing, or pushing through can leave you depleted and disconnected from yourself. CBT and counselling can help you rebuild a kinder, more sustainable relationship with who you are.

Therapy That Fits Around Your Life

I don't believe therapy should be one more rigid commitment in an already stretched week. That's why I offer three ways to work together — you choose what suits you.

🌿 Walk & Talk — King's Heath Park, Birmingham

There's something powerful about moving your body while working through your thoughts. We meet in the green spaces of King's Heath Park for sessions that feel less like 'therapy' and more like a purposeful conversation with someone in your corner.

🏡 Face to Face — King's Heath, Birmingham

My therapy room is based at The Well Health Centre in King's Heath — a calm, private, professional space close to the high street and well served by local transport. Convenient for Moseley, Stirchley, Harborne, Edgbaston, Solihull, Worcestershire and across South Birmingham.

💻 Online — Anywhere in the UK

Secure, confidential video sessions from wherever you are. Online therapy is just as effective as in-person for most issues — and sometimes the convenience makes it easier to actually show up for yourself.

A Therapist Who's Been There

I came to therapy the long way round — through burnout, a career I needed to leave, and the realisation that the ladder I was climbing was leaning against the wrong wall.

I'm Katie, a dual-accredited CBT therapist and counsellor with over 15 years of experience across the NHS, Birmingham City University, voluntary trauma services, and private practice.

I'm BABCP and BACP accredited — which means I've met high standards in my field and I'm bound by two professional codes of ethics.

I'm also a human being. I'm warm, direct, occasionally nerdy about psychology, and I will never just sit there tilting my head saying 'and how does that make you feel?'
